About Us
Rotary District 5630 encompasses the majority of central and western Nebraska from Highway 281 on the east to the Nebraska/Wyoming border with the exception of the communities of Scottsbluff, Gering, Morrill, and Mitchell in the far western part of the panhandle.
District 5630 has been participating in Rotary Youth Exchange since the 1960s. We offer long-term exchange scholarships. A student taking part in a long-term exchange lives and studies abroad for an academic year. District 5630 and its Rotary clubs host students from the same countries in which students from Nebraska spend their long-term exchange.
All outbound students selected to participate in the program and their parents are required to participate in orientation meetings and training webinars. These training sessions are designed to prepare each student for an exchange and to provide the student with tools to help him/her have a successful exchange.
Rotary District 5630 is a member of South Central Rotary Youth Exchange (SCRYE) multi-district and is certified by Rotary International to participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. Rotarian volunteers from around the District administer the Youth Exchange Program in central and western Nebraska.
